Jay Haon received his MFA from the furniture program at RISD. For the past two decades he has been a designer, maker, and teacher in Philly, running his own business, Jay Haon Art & Design, which has had a wide range of clients in the city and the region, focusing on furniture and interiors. The places for these projects have included college campuses, commerclal venues, old stone houses, and loft spaces. Recently Jay has been teaching a hands on studio in the interior design program at Moore College of Art & Design, and showing his furniture and art at Pile of Bricks gallery.
William Mangold is an adjunct professor in Interior Design at Pratt Institute and a Ph.D. candidate in the Environmental Psychology program at The Graduate Center, CUNY. Trained as an architect, his research looks at social responsibility in design and utopian visions for transforming the social and spatial environment. He has recently completed an edited volume bringing together scholarship from across disciplines: The People, Place, and Space Reader.
